Flower Hair Clips

Hey y'all!  These flower clips can be made in a jiffy... and for a fraction of a price of store bought ones!

  • Set of 10 small alligator clips
  • 10 scrap booking flowers and 20 leaves
  • Hot Glue

Here is my helpful assistant:

Step 1:
With the hair clip pinched open, apply hot glue on top and lay down first leaf.  Hold in place 5-10 seconds.

Step 2:
Apply hot glue on half of the first leaf.  Layer another leaf on top.  Hold for 5-10 seconds.

Step 3: Once the leaves have set, apply hot glue on the bottom of the flower and press onto the center of the leaves.  Hold for 5-10 seconds.

These can be used to pull back small sections of your hair, clipped onto the elastic of a pony tail, or even clipped onto a head band such as the Simple Seedstitch Headband

Free Knitting Pattern: Simple Seedstitch Headband

Hey y'all!  This easy-to-follow knitting pattern can be completed in less than an hour!  All you need are size 6 knitting needles, yarn (wool or cotton worsted weight) and 1 yarn sewing needle.

Cast on 8.
Row 1:* K1, Pl* repeat to end
Row 2: *P1, K1* repeat to end

Continue alternating rows until your piece measures slightly smaller than the circumference of your head (you will want it to fit a bit snug because it will stretch quite a bit).  Bind off.  With yarn needle, sew end pieces together to form a circle.

Here's a picture of my friend, Emily, modeling the headband!
